Some of the feedback we got from the End of Season survey was a way to highlight the players and what makes the org what it is… what makes the org great even. After a bit of thought one of the ideas we came up with was to hype our players and give out some recognition, enter:
New MVP & Play of the Game Submission
When the captain goes to report a match the captain can add an MVP and POTG to the game.
NOTE: the match report and the MVP are separate submissions and you can turn them in at different times! Captain’s should still report the match results ASAP! If you want to add an MVP and PotG you can come back and add this later.
MVP: Select a player from the drop-down who was pivotal to the match!
Play of the Game: Provide a link to a youtube or twitch clip of the game that was a highlight of the match action!
The MVP gets front-page hype as the MVP of the match; and also to the new MVP page that has all the MVP submissions.
The Play of the Game gets sent to the new PotG page that shows all the submitted clips, can your clip get the most smiles?!
Another exciting feature is the currently streaming games component. This new feature will show matches on the NGS home page that are scheduled to be streaming with links straight to the stream. If you want to check out what action is going on at that moment in season 9 look no further than the NGS home page. This news feed will update every 15 minutes to show the currently playing games that are streamed.
