NGS S19: Division D Week 1 Recap

By Eternally Blue

FC Hong Kong got the extra week of practice before their upcoming match against Phoenix Rising Amethyst in week 2.

Protectors of Shakuras dominated Cosmos in decisive fashion, leading in total takedowns 28-7 over both games. POS showing that although the community generally agrees that Johanna is boring as hell to play, she still is a strong tank in today’s meta. Lompico the only person to not die in either game, with some off-ish meta DPS picks in Alarak and Zagara (Benda, if you will).

ReGen DeGens took two games off Dragon Gall Z. Game one was bloodier and the closer of the two matches. DGZ showing how effective gorge/light bomb can be even when shrine monkeys are in the way. Nearly a flawless victory for the DeGens in game two, with Taco being the only casualty of the game, twice. I’m sure that fact didn’t come up at all afterwards.

Phoenix Rising Amethyst won 2-nil over Rooster Pizza WBP, in the only Div D match that didn’t feature Braxis Holdout (Raka would be proud Div D) PRA vs. Roosters is a tale as old as time, being both scrim partners and friends. Each game went the distance and then some. 22 min game on Spiders, and 27mins on Volkskya. Chelsi with a cheeky offlane Stitches in game 2 helping carry PRA to a victory.
