This week we are looking at the objective capture phase on Garden of Terror and Alterac Valley. Both of these objectives have enemy minions that guard a channeled point. Instead of killing the minions and then channelling the objective, you can get the minions to aggro onto another target while you channel. This will reduce the time it takes for your team to capture the objective, which can be critical in some situations where the enemy team is still rotating to the objective and would be able to interrupt your channel had you not used this trick.
You can get the minions to aggro onto another target in a variety of ways. If your hero has the ability to create additional/multiple bodies such as Samuro, Vikings, Gazlowe, Zagara or Rexxar, then you can do this trick completely solo as shown in the clips below. If not, then all you need to do is grab a teammate and assign one player to channel the objective and one player to aggro the minions.This works best if the first player to arrive at the objective grabs the aggro of all the minions and the second player to arrive channels the objective since aggro swapping can be messy.
Here is an example of the trick being used in Storm Division. If Diablo and D.Va had not done this, Malthael would have been able to possibly interrupt the channeling of the objective.
